What is Clinical Services DNA testing?

Each of us is unique and your wellness can be directly affected by your individual, inherent differences as well as diet, lifestyle choices and the environment you live in.

DNA testing highlights the relationship between genes, nutrition and lifestyle and shows where we can improve your health. It can show why you may react to certain medications or why you may not be able to absorb a particular vitamin no matter how much you take it, or why your more susceptible to inflammation in the body or why you react to caffeine for example.

It shows your strengths and weaknesses and how to turn on important health giving genes and turn off those genes that can be turned on by unsupportive diet and lifestyle practices. It can be the next step in your health journey and another vital piece of your health puzzle.

Key areas of health management we test for are mood, methylation, detoxification, hormones and fertility.

It is important to remember that your genes are not your destiny. Having particular gene variations may indicate that certain functional aspects of your biochemistry may be altered and knowing this provides me the opportunity to better tailor your treatment.

How much does it cost?

The table below provides pricing for the different Clinical Services DNA Testing packages and reports. The price for existing patients is available if you have had a consultation in the previous 12 months.

All pricing includes:

In clinic specimen collection.
Test costs for the laboratories.
Report and followup consultation.

For new patients the price also includes an initial full naturopathic consultation to understand your symptoms and health history prior to testing.

Private health care rebates are available for the consultations, however neither Medicare or private health providers cover the tests themselves.
